Zhu Ye Qing also called Bamboo Leaf Green Tea, is one of the rarest tea in China, and number one tea in Sichuan Province.

The tea trees grow in the organic and fertile soil of the region of Emei Moutain, which is one of the four sacred buddhist mountains in China. It has beautiful sceneries with pristine ecosystem 800-2000 meters above sea level, where the climat is cool and thin air with high elevation, and the tea garden is surrended by vast bamboo forest.

This tea is one of the finest tea in China. It was first created by a monk from one the temples in early 1960s. This gorgeous tea as a smooth, slim, slightly curves uniform buds. Looks like ‘sparrow tongue’ or small pine needles. This represents a surprising high level of tea plucking expertise and delicate hand crafting method.

Its leaf has a nice vibrant green colour, when brewing, it gives you a fresh aroma, the liquor is clear golden colour tinged with a slight green hue. It can brew 3-6 times, its taste is so complex: refreshing sweet floral with a slightly sweet lingering aftertaste, mild but enough subtle, sometimes taste a little delicate spring bamboo shoots or asparagus flavour, very interesting.

Health Effects: Very refreshing tea, rich in Vitamin C, helps to improve the ability to think and meditate for long periods without fatigue.

Recommended brewing method:
We recommend using glass-based or porcelain tea ware. So you can see the beautiful leaves dansing in the water. Rinse tea cup and teapot with hot water. Use about 3-4 grams of tea leaves (1-1.5 teaspoons) for around 250ml of water. Steep tea leaves in hot water at 70°c to 80°c for 1 minute for the first and second brewing. Gradually increase steeping time for 30 sec. to 1 minutes more for each subsequent brewing.
